Education

As a community service, the Colorado Mounted Rangers offers educational programs to the public.  Participants have the option to make a donation to the Colorado Mounted Rangers, which is also a 501(c)(3) non-profit, to help support our mission.

Public courses include the 8 to 32-hour Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) training and the Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminar on crime prevention and personal safety.

Improve your personal safety strategies with the Refuse To Be A Victim® Program.

Experts agree that the single most important step toward ensuring your personal safety is making the decision to refuse to be a victim. That means that you must have an overall personal safety strategy in place before you need it.

Through a 4-hour seminar (shorter presentations are available) called Refuse To Be A Victim®, you can learn the personal safety tips and techniques you need to avoid dangerous situations and avoid becoming a victim.

Hundreds of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials across the country have implemented Refuse To Be A Victim® into their crime prevention and community policing initiatives. Colorado Mounted Rangers™ offers a variety of community service and outreach programs including educational programs.

CMR Troops H & I are registered law enforcement agency affiliates with the Refuse To Be A Victim® program. Seminars are conducted in the Denver metro area north by Troop H and in Colorado Springs by Troop I.

Refuse To Be A Victim® seminars can also be scheduled on location for private businesses, church groups, youth organizations and other entities. Registered non-profit groups may request a seminar through Troop H with a sharing of the donation amount.
